Weather Underground on the winter storm just engaging the Mid-Atlantic states:

Upwards of 2 feet of snow will be possible in the Capitol...

Which is remarkable - I wonder how much will fall outdoors?

I had no idea the dome was in such disrepair. I mean, is it inhabted by Peter Ustinov and a hundred cats?

There have been instances of it snowing inside observatory domes! It could happen! [grin]

Perhaps so! They tend to yell at stars under this dome, however, rather than just staring at them. No telling what effect that will have. Probably raises taxes, increases spending, creates loopholes, calls intended gaps loopholes, and fails to feed 100 cats.
