In true Al Franken style, I'm thinking of writing a book called, "Crappy, Insecure Network Security Products, and the Asswipes that Sell them to Clueless Suckers Working Jobs for which they are Unqualified, an unbiased look at the information security marketplace."

Based entirely on personal experience, I'm sure it would sell well.

I think Bruce has already written that book.

No no. His book is, "Bullshitting Fearmongers and the Frightened Sheep who Run to the Slaughter."

Then there is Clifford Stoll's, "Oversold Internet Crap and the People who Made my Life Hell because YOU CAN'T BAKE COOKIES ON THE INTERNET!"

I'm sure there are others in this vein. Perhaps we could market them as a complete set.

Oh, but sales would skyrocket! Not to mention you'd give some poor, overworked judge a good laugh...

In a related note, I didn't get to work for one of those today because I have been not really studying sql of late, and my answers for the interview weren't neccesarily correct the first time.

But this was for a one month contract making an excel spreadsheet which would pull sql data from financial databases.

how that could take a month I do NOT know. I was thinking day.

anyway so I'm not going to be working there for a month, boo hoo. Actually yeah it does suck.
