Of the ones on the list by Lois McMaster Bujold, I noticed that you only read Barrayar. Did you not like it, or have you just not gotten around to reading the others? If it's the latter, I highly recommend her work (my wife and I are both big fans of hers). It's too early in the morning to provide concrete reasons why I like her writing (and it's not like you see me around to ask me).
